Many countries in the world have been going through lockdown and quarantine. In some places this has been the norm for almost a year now. During this period, I have been reflecting on the good and bad things about it.
Here are 9 takeaways:
- I have learned that it is okay to feel down sometimes; however, it is always important to get out of that state quickly and focus our attention on uplifting endeavours.
- I have learned that we all have preconceptions or ideas about people, especially about those who are close to us. However, people can always surprise us — and all those preconceived ideas evaporate, because we are able to see them in a different light.
- I have learned that we humans are resilient. We have a basket of tools and can come up with great ideas in times of hardship.
- I have learned that we like to be together more than we want to admit, that we long for hugs and kisses and laughter with those we care about. We are “socialists” in the sense of social interaction.
- I have learned that nothing can stop our hearts from feeling the pain of others’ suffering, and this quality makes us kind and caring. Hence, we offer our help and unconditional love to people we do not know.
- I have learned that we can reinvent ourselves time and time again. In the face of events like this, we flow and find new ways of communicating.
- I have learned that we are united in the invisible realms of consciousness, and what happens to one happens to all from an energy point of view.
- I have learned that we will come out this crisis victorious.
- I have learned that a new “human being” is birthing, one that will become a “Radiant Being”, radiating peace, happiness, opulence and love to the world.
