Algorithmic Art – Quarantine Cleaning Series
Daniel Travers aka “Redideo” is a multidisciplinary artist working in both the commercial and fine art world who is a graduate of The Kansas City Art Institute and currently lives in San Diego, California. Other fine art projects include abstract art using upcycled vinyl records and resin.
Selected artworks explore controlled chaos, generative art and the familiarity of objects in real space. In layman’s terms, some may refer to it as “math or fractal art”. This particular series was created in response to being quarantined which lead to imagining fictional places around the artist’s studio while deep cleaning. The images metaphorically represent a “cleaning of the creative cobwebs.” For example, one of the titles is “Under The Bed”.
The digital art was manifested physically as one-off giclee prints for an art gallery show in San Diego that had very minimal exposure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
