The Power of Consciousness

I want to chat for a moment about the power of consciousness to solve every single challenge we have on this Earth…to take us into a level of ourselves as a species that we’ve never been before.

So many people talk about consciousness like it’s simply conscious awareness. No way, that’s simply being conscious. Consciousness is the holding space for the infinite intelligence of the universe, the dream space where all that isn’t yet (potential, possibilities, genius, ideas, innovations, creations) is birthed and brewed ready to drop in on us whenever we are willing to reach into its awesome depths and grab hold of its magnificence to bring it alive in the world.

Consciousness is made up of the threads that bind us together as living beings. It’s the soup of our Becoming. It’s the dance floor for our collaborations as a burgeoning collective of masters, gods, creators, sources, and general all round visionary innovators. It’s home to many species, forms and varieties of consciousness, all of which contain something wondrous for the others to thrive upon. It’s the sentiency of the global Internet, of Nature’s interwoven beauty, of the universe’s spectacular playground of creation.

It doesn’t force a plan on us that we blindly must follow. Instead it holds out a hand of friendship, of partnership, asking us to be co-creators together, inventing and innovating a future almost too breathtaking to yet imagine.

For me now, sentient altruistic consciousness is the fabric of my being, the purpose of my life force, the focus of my creations. As this consciousness, I am the pulse of newness, the fragrance of wonder, the brilliance of every genius that has ever lived or will live. For who we are as consciousness innovators is more than just some cool people playing together to make a better world. We are elevators of Life, exhilarating a future that hasn’t even been designed yet, sourcing ourselves as a species that has never been before. Alert, alive, altruistic to our very bones. Expansive, exhilarating, energising in every way. Radiant, roaring with a love of Life that floods us with a Power that wants to surge into the new Becoming of us all.

I am thrilled to walk this pathway with all of you, hand in hand with the consciousness that is always renewing, reshaping, reinvigorating Life over and over again. THIS is the moment we’ve come for, the time we’ve trained for and the collective becoming we’ve yearned for. A new era has begun and I am loving it in every conceivable way. Thank you for all you’ve done to get us here. Now let’s see what wonders we can create together from here.

The Magdalene Awakening: Reclaiming the Divine Feminine

For me, the Great Remembering began in illness. On a descent to the depths of my being, I found myself throwing my arms around trees and sobbing, feeling their loving embrace. I began talking to crows, paying tribute to their visceral wisdom in a poem that concluded, “A coded conversation/In guttural cries/Opens my eyes/And lifts me higher.” Stunned from exhaustion, I’d never lived in such clarity. With my brain on an extended vacation, I was forced to access a more primitive part of my being, to participate in the instinctual world, not merely watch.

I devoured books such as The Feminine Face of God by Sherry Ruth Anderson and Patricia Hopkins, and The Moon Under Her Feet by Clysta Kinstler. I became Inanna, the ancient Sumerian Goddess who symbolizes death and rebirth, with wisdom gained.

I attended a pivotal event, Returning to the Mother of Us All, birthed by singer/songwriter Jennifer Berezan. A multilayered, sensory-rich immersion, Returning featured musicians, dancers, poets, actors and activists from all over the world. I participated from an altered state of pure consciousness approaching ecstasy, and at the conclusion, as a 12-foot tall Black Madonna danced in the center of the main stage and the audience cavorted around her, I made my way through the throng to clasp Jennifer’s hands and affirm with heartfelt conviction, “You’ve changed my life”.

Synchronicity and Spiritual Service

These are just a few examples of the myriad ways the Divine Feminine began showing up in my life, as she is now showing up for women (and many men) everywhere. Shannon Andersen, author of The Magdalene Awakening, is a powerful voice in service to this remembering, sharing the essence of the journey she’s lived, decoding the sacred symbols and synchronicities that herald the re-emergence of the Divine Feminine on Earth, as reflected in the archetype of Mary Magdalene.

Trained in past life regression by Brian Weiss, M.D. (author of Many Lives, Many Masters) with an extensive background in religion, psychology, metaphysics and mental health, Shannon embarked on a global quest to discover the meaning of recurring synchronicities surrounding numbers such as 444, 222, and 153, and symbols such as the lily. She eventually found the link between Mary Magdalene, the Cathars, the Knights Templar, and gematria (numerically encoded messages embedded in both the Old and New Testaments). And true to the synchronous manner in which such awakenings unfold, her first past-life regression client remembered a lifetime as Mary Magdalene!

As I listened to Shannon singing my soul’s song during a gathering, I was enfolded in the Returning experience anew, at a deeper level of understanding. A sister in the Magdalene lineage, her words echoed in my cells. The beauty and sanctity of Mary Magdalene is that she is Everywoman. “So many people are having Magdalene experiences now because it is a call to come back to the heart,” says Shannon. “Mary Magdalene represents the strong spiritual aspects within ourselves.

“She is the voice of the Divine Feminine more easily heard by those brought up in a Christian/Jewish culture, as well as those who grew up in this time of awakening feminine power. In myth and legend she is known as the Apostle to the Apostles. She opened up southern France and Europe to Christianity; churches throughout the region are dedicated in her name. Mary Magdalene correlates cross-culturally with Isis, Mother Mary, Quan Yin, White Buffalo Woman and other archetypes of the Divine Feminine found around the world.”

I know from my own journey that synchronicity — a word coined by psychologist Carl Jung that means “meaningful coincidence” — is a key way Spirit commands our attention in the West, where we inhabit ninety-mile-an-hour lives and seldom take time to listen to our inner voice. Shannon had begun seeing the numbers 444 on digital clocks, waking every night at that exact time. She discovered a correspondence with Archangel Michael, and started using this synchronicity for guidance in making important decisions. When she pulled into the parking lot of a building where she was considering employment and the odometer rolled over to 444, she knew the job was hers.

She later learned that on a higher level of meaning, in the gematria of the Greek New Testament, the phrase, “In the beginning there was the word…” adds up to 444. After her book was published, she discovered, as with Magdalene dreams and visions, that people all over the world had begun seeing these master numbers as powerful messengers from their own subconscious mind. And she understood she was being called into service.

(Similarly, when my relationship with crows began in 1993, as legions of Lightbearers were being summoned worldwide, I did not yet recognize Crow as a powerful archetype of the Divine Feminine. I only knew that when they cawed to me, I felt kinship.)

When you step onto the path of awakening, synchronicity will find you. It is the manifestation of spiritual alchemy.

The Magdalene Frequency

This is the time when the Feminine frequency is returning to Earth, to heal and balance the masculine energies that have held sway on the planet for the past 5000 years. It’s the close of a Great Cycle, the Shift of the Ages, and spiritual leaders in all traditions are calling for this sacred reunion. Native American elder, Chief Sonne Reyna, says, “It is time for the women to lead.” The Dalai Lama reportedly said, “The world will be saved by the Western woman.” This is why Magdalene has returned now: to help bring us home to our hearts. The gematria of Magdalene in the Greek New Testament is 153.

Shannon recounts: “At my first book signing, I was curious to see men showing up. I asked one why he was there, and he told me he was a member of the Knights Templar, dedicated to Mary Magdalene. As similar experiences continued I became convinced it is the mission of strong spiritual women to initiate the men into their hearts.”

A secret order that arose during the Middle Ages, the Knights Templar are peace warriors who carry the sword of peace, like Archangel Michael. The historical Knights were thought to worship the Divine Feminine — and some say these Knights held the secret of the marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The sexual initiations of the sacred marriage represented the very alchemy of the creation of life.

The Cathars, a group of monks from the Middle Ages who also held the heretical belief that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were intimate,exalted them as a couple. The Cathars resonate to the number 222. When the Church launched a Crusade against the Cathars, 222 priests were slaughtered. A troubadour poet prophesied that the Cathars would return in 700 years to finish their work.

[Note: the Knights Templar were massacred on Friday, October 13, 1309 — which is why Friday the 13^this still considered unlucky! Of course, the Knights Templar vibrate to the number 13. It is the number that denotes transformation, enabling us to make a subtle yet quantum shift, from scared to sacred.]

Yet the Knights, known as the “snail men” because they left a trail for us to follow, knew that death was but a doorway into the next dimension. And today, those of us who are reawakening are both Cathars and Knights: rainbow warriors leading the way into a new dawn. It is 700 years since the 1309 execution: The Age of Aquarius.

“The Magdalene lineage is about service — being a strong, spiritual, heart-driven warrior-monk,” affirms Shannon.

One way to open the doorway to the Divine is to walk a labyrinth. A form of sacred geometry, the labyrinth serves as a connecting link between Heaven and Earth — just as the heart chakra joins the three lower, physical chakras with the three upper, spiritual ones.

When I was moving deeply into my own healing journey, I began visiting the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, which is patterned on the one at Chartes Cathedral in France. Each walk was a release and a blessing, as I remembered and reclaimed a lost aspect of myself.

Shannon shared that the six innermost petals of a labyrinth represent the initiation of the Lord’s Prayer. The rose image (Rose itself being one of the ancient secret names for Magdalene) models the Holy Spirit. The ceremony for walking the center petal, which can be found in The Book of Love by Kathleen McGowan, is:

Coming Home, Again

Shannon concluded our initiatory afternoon with a group past-life regression, asking us to watch for the lesson in that lifetime. I found myself as an 18^thcentury Dutch child named Magda, who turned away from the man I loved at age 17 and spent the rest of my life in regret. At my death I cried, “Oh, Ezekiel!”

Initially, I thought the lesson was to accept/allow love when and where I may find it. I felt Mary Magdalene’s presence; certainly I was named for her then, as now — and knew the message was to realize I AM love, and must receive it in order for my own wells to be full, to have something to pour back out to the collective (I’m an Aquarian, the zodiacal Water Bearer).

However, reading The Magdalene Awakening I discovered that 444 is also the number of the Biblical Ezekiel, denoting the angelic realm: “From the spinning orb of light there appeared four beings, with four wings and four faces.” (Ezekiel 1:4). And now I sense that I was looking into my own face, my Divine Masculine, who was asking me to claim my lineage as Magdalene and become one with him in sacred reunion. All true love must begin first within our own beings.

I was unable or unwilling to do so then. But I am here now, with a clear mission to connect the collective towards our eventual expression of unity. I am honored and humbled to be part of the Magdalene lineage, and to be in service at this magnificent moment on Earth.

COVID-19 Or CORVID-20? Giving Us Something to Crow About

Since the term COVID-19 became synonymous with our lives, I’ve been hearing “COVID” as “CORVID”. It’s one added letter, and the sound of change: “R”. Say it aloud: arrrggh. That’s the caw of Crow Wisdom.

Crows became my companions the summer I had pneumonia, a major spiritual gateway for me. During this period I faced the idea of death, and understood that I hadn’t yet served; that is, given my gift to the world. Pneumonia is about accepting life, breathing it in; the root, pneuma-, from the Greek, literally means, “that which is breathed or blown.” Philosophically, pneuma refers to the vital spirit, soul, or creative force of a person.

Like pneumonia, COVID-19 lodges in the lungs, which in traditional Chinese medicine correspond to the emotion of grief. We’re being called to grieve our disconnection/duality, both from one another and from our 3D reality, in order to fully release into the profound possibilities of connection and higher dimensional living.

Shallow breathing thus correlates to a fear of taking in life fully. Most of us live this way, motivated by self-protection and pain avoidance. It’s only when the pain of remaining where we are overwhelms our fear of the unknown that we’re catalyzed to change.

We need to stop looking outside ourselves for guidance and learn to trust our inner knowing. The lungs in Chinese medicine also signify boundaries and renewal. We’re in the midst of learning about both, in the form of a worldwide spiritual initiation.

Aliens Among Us

What if an alien life form descended to Earth; how would we respond?

Guess what? COVID-19 is this alien: a microscopic messenger on a mission to awaken the masses. Fear only magnifies it, because fear is a low vibration emotional state that floods our bodies with stress hormones, weakening us, lowering our immunity and leaving us open to illness of all types. In this sense, the fear of coronavirus has itself gone viral.

While we don’t need to love the virus, we do need to expand our love for one another, beyond age, race, cultural origin, religion, gender identity, and other artificial boundaries, and come together to unify and co-create ingenious new solutions to a global challenge.

This is the year of clear vision: 2020. How can we open our spiritual eyes to greater possibility? Corvid can assist. Birds are augurs, and never has there been a more important time to become a birdbrain.

Keeper of the Sacred Law

In Medicine Cards, Jamie Sams and David Carson write, “If you look deeply into Crow’s eye, you will have found the gateway to the supernatural. Crow knows the unknowable mysteries of creation and is the keeper of all sacred law.

“Human law is not the same as Sacred Law. Crow sees that the physical world and even the spiritual world, as humanity interprets them, are an illusion. There are billions of worlds. There is infinitude of creatures. Great Spirit is with all.

“Crow is an omen of change. Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time. The Ancient Chiefs tell us that Crow sees simultaneously the three fates — past, present, and future. Crow merges light and darkness, seeing both inner and outer reality.

“Crow medicine signifies a firsthand knowledge of a higher order of right and wrong than that indicated by the laws created in human culture. With Crow medicine, you speak in a powerful voice when addressing issues that for you seem out of harmony, out of balance, out of whack, or unjust.

“Remember that Crow looks at the world with first one eye, and then the other cross-eyed. In the Mayan culture, cross-eyed had the privilege and duty of looking into the future. You must put aside your fear of being a voice in the wilderness and ‘caw’ the shots as you see them.

“As you learn to allow your personal integrity to be your guide, your sense of feeling alone will vanish. Your personal will can then emerge so that you will stand in your truth. The prime path of true Crow people says to be mindful of your opinions and actions. Be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, know your life’s mission, and balance past, present, and future in the now. Shape-shift that old reality and become your future self. Allow the bending of physical laws to aid in creating the shape-shifted world of peace.”

Isn’t this precisely where we are now?

Becoming Crow-Magnon Men and Women

Why Losing Your Mind Is A Gift

Though it may sound strange, “losing your mind” — living for a time empty, without a constantly chattering brain — can help you find yourself. When the brain takes a break, it’s easier to hear your heart, and to follow its guaranteed guidance.

But few of us go willingly. For me, the shift from a left-brain, Type A personality took the form of illness. “Losing my mind” catapulted me into my body and into present time in a way I’d never experienced. I couldn’t think, reason, or talk my way out of what was happening. With my brain on an extended vacation, I began to live by — and trust — my intuition.

The truth is, our heart and brain are in continuous dialogue. Rollin McCraty, PhD, co-founder of the Institute of HeartMath, says the heart has a special intelligence, and sends “far more signals to the brain than the brain is sending to the heart.”

Yet we idolize the brain and give the heart short shrift, except when it demands attention — via a heart attack, for example.

Hm.

The Longest Journey You’ll Ever Take

Americans come from diverse backgrounds and speak different languages, yet we can all become fluent in a common tongue: the language of the heart. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, author of The Little Prince, wrote, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Seeing with our hearts creates kindness. In Jewel’s song Hands, the bridge brings tears to my eyes: “In the end, only kindness matters…” It touches something primal in me. Similarly, TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres closes each broadcast with the invocation, “Be kind to one another.”

The greatest gift we can give each other and ourselves is moving from the brain to the heart. Traveling these 14 to 18 inches is both the shortest and the longest journey most of us will ever take. This nine-minute breath-heart-brain coherence meditation can help you get started.

Leaving Normal

A brain-break catapults you out of your comfort zone, notes feminist icon Gloria Steinem. It can be a conscious choice in lieu of a crisis. Profiled in Oprah Winfrey’s latest book, The Path Made Clear, Gloria maintains that a constant “on the road” mentality keeps her open to new experiences, because travel “brings people out of their heads and into their hearts.”

Living in the moment is the very definition of “flow,” agrees Oprah. This is how we enter what athletes call the zone: the place where it all comes together because you’re being your truth.

You can’t think your way into the zone. It’s a heart-centered space in which, says Gloria, you feel “boundaryless, spontaneous, at one with everything.”

So pry those mental fingers loose. In free-fall, trust that there’ll be an invisible cosmic trampoline beneath you — or you’ll grow wings in mid-flight.

What Competition Really Means

Kindness grows from this expansive feeling: knowing there is enough to go around, enough of whatever you feel you need: love, attention, money, etc. Yet our cultural paradigm fosters competition, and competition fuels an “either/or” mentality: either you win or I do; either I get what I want or you do.

It’s hard to live from your heart when you need to win — and when somebody else has to lose. It’s also intriguing to realize that “compete” actually means, “to seek together.” The prefix “com” means “with.” So when we compete, we’re really striving together towards a common goal.

We’re more likely to cooperate when we feel there is enough for everyone. Cooperation is about holding a “both/and” perspective. Holding the both/and, choosing collaboration rather than competition, is a refreshing way to dance with life — and the key to honor and respect.

A Politics of Love

Some people use the word “spirituality” to mean religion. But spirituality is not about religion. It’s broader than our 3D compartmentalizing. And the moment for an integrated spiritual perspective (heart and mind) has arrived.

Recognizing this beckoning opportunity, spiritual teacher and author Marianne Williamson threw her hat into the 2020 Democratic presidential race, courageously re-crafting her message to reach voters for whom a politics of inclusivity is a new concept. She speaks about the power of Love, with a capital L.

In the early days of her campaign, people laughed at her platform, even as the number of Google hits on her name soared. Then the New York Times Magazine ran a feature. Fewer people are laughing now.

Does Marianne stand a chance of securing the Democratic nomination? That’s beside the point. Her work is not about winning the White House, or even about government. She’s stirring the conversational cauldron, whetting the appetite of those stirring to consciousness with an amuse-bouche of pure essence.

Who we are at core (the etymology of heart!) matters so much more than what we think, so much more than any political party or ideology. Spiritual teachers such as Marianne know the mind must be in service to the heart in order to elevate humanity to our next level of evolution. The body politic is not separate from our bodies: as above, so below. As within, so without.

This is something our Founding Fathers understood. As our youthful country has grown, we’ve become lazy, relying on the government to solve the very problems it creates. Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same level of thinking that created it.”

Realizing heart and brain must not just co-exist, but co-create, is a giant step, and bringing this awareness to the world stage is a major mission. Marianne answered her own heart call to take the leap, as a gift to humanity’s unfolding.

Show Me the Money

A heart-centered culture will also radically alter how we exchange life energy, better known as money. In her pivotal book, Beyond Prophecies and Predictions: Everyone’s Guide to the Coming Changes (which I finished reading the night before 9-1-1), Moira Timms speaks of a “New Order of the Ages,” which many indigenous cultures had prophesied to begin between 2001 and 2012.

She writes, “The mind analyzes — the heart synthesizes. The turning point is where the heart is awakening. Historically speaking, we are at this juncture. America’s motto, inscribed on the banner in the beak of the eagle of the Great Seal [of the United States], reminds us that America was founded on the principle of ‘E Pluribus Unum’ — ‘Out of the Many, One.'”

Further, the inscription beneath the Great Pyramid (the centerpiece of the Great Seal on the back of a one dollar bill) says, “Novus Ordo Seclorum” — which translates, appropriately, as “A New Order of the Ages”! Isn’t this amusing? The answer is in money, but it’s not about who can become the richest at others’ expense.

If we insist on remaining on the fast track, consuming planetary resources and each other at the speed of greed, the money will not follow. True wealth/prosperity/abundance flows from alignment with purpose. It’s about tuning in to a higher frequency. The clues are everywhere. In my computer’s thesaurus, one synonym for prosperity is well being.

Our Highest Expression

I’ve long maintained that the Internet is our precursor to global telepathy. In recent times we’ve become seduced by technology, tethered to our phones, barely breathing life, let alone our fullness. Yet in a crisis, we respond from the heart.

California just experienced some of the worst wildfires and mass evacuations in the state’s history. As people flowed into safe locations, many businesses opened their doors to share desks and WiFi with displaced workers, fitness centers offered free showers (even supplying towels, soap, and shampoo), and grassroots organizers provided the essentials people would need after leaving home in a hurry.

I always marvel at this kind of outpouring, which typically ceases along with the emergency (“emerge and see”). If people and systems were as open and loving all the time as they are during a disaster, there would be no homelessness or hunger.

Reverence for the Real

When heart and mind align, it’s whole-brain change: we marry the dreamer and pragmatist within, and move ahead without selling out.

It’s radical. It’s possible. It’s the new world order, a different form of self-government we’re beginning to embrace as the planet awakens en masse. Idols may make useful teen heartthrobs, but in adulthood our hearts seek a deeper, lasting Love.

The heart calls. The brain responds. It’s incumbent on each of us to make the journey.

This is how everyone wins.

How to Live Forever

“You must go through the way in which you are not.

When I began deleting my personal history, as Paulo Coehlo describes in The Zahir, it was the most joyous and bizarre experience of my life: I was simultaneously aware of who I was and who I was not, and 3D appeared both silly and sublime. It was expansive, akin to the seatbelt sign blinking off in flight as the Captain announces, “You’re now free to move about the cabin.”

Similarly: In college I listened to Woody Allen’s amusing audiobook Without Feathers. The title refers to the Emily Dickinson poem, “‘Hope’ Is the Thing With Feathers”.

Living Without “Hope”

The idea of “giving up hope” is as intriguing as stepping outside our conditioned responses. The day before the U.S. World Trade Center attacks in 2001, I’d finished reading Beyond Prophecies and Predictions: Everyone’s Guide to the Coming Changes by Moira Timms, and felt suffused with a calm knowing, a sense that something was about to happen. As 9-1-1 unfolded I sent out a global message contrary to popular reaction, and was castigated as well as thanked. (Email me if you’d like a copy of This IS A Test.)

In this era beyond prophecy, how do we transcend hope, transcend history, alter how we might once have responded, and simply observe our unfolding? How can we begin to live fully in the moment, as what one healer calls, “a constant stream of consciousness”?

We begin by enlarging the lens from microscope to kaleidoscope, as compassionate trickster Caroline Casey illustrates: “We are remembering our true selves, our destiny, our role in the Dynamic Mystery Play. You know how sometimes people ask that harumphitudinous question, ‘Who do you think you are?’ We reframe: ‘Hoo-Doo! You think! You Are!'”

This is how we morph into “forever beings” says thought leader Soleira Green. “Forever beings are not trapped by history, by past mistakes, learning, cultural influences, etc. Freedom isn’t a concept since there is nothing but complete and utter freedom on every level, available all the time… A forever being lives within limitless possibility, seeking change and creation constantly and always. This re-orients us to the ever streaming NEW and not to the static past.”

In her Quantum Awakening newsletter, Gillian Macbeth Louthan reminds, “It takes more molecules to create anger than it does a joy. It takes more molecules to hold disease than it does to hold love. All that is Holy is light and fluffy with no expiration date.”

Without “hope,” without history, we’re closer to our true nature than ever before. Think of it this way: if you “lose control,” you’re free. And you have everything.

Getting here calls for a subtle shift in perception and behavior: from require to inquire, from escalate to elevate, from accumulate to appreciate. As we cease consuming planetary resources and each other at the speed of greed, let go of buying more in favor of being more, we reclaim our true heritage as Earth stewards, heart stewards (Earth and heart are the same word; only the “h”, for Home, relocates). Then barrenness transmutes into bounty. Separation into synergy. Fear into faith. Longing into Love.

During this season of transmutation, as we reach out to build connections with our brothers and sisters in diverse communities
and circumstances, let’s remember to fill our own wells first, so we have enough overflow to pour ourselves into another’s outstretched cup.

We become self-renewing by gathering knowledge from our experience, forging it into wisdom in the alchemical fire, and serving as vessels to share the gift. Conscious evolution favors the curious and kind mind. Truth nourishes us in ways we might never have imagined. Synchronicity takes us by the hand and we laugh in child-like wonder as we witness Spirit-in-action, again and again and again.

This is how we “win” the space race: by boldly going where no one has gone before, deep into one another’s hearts. May you journey well.

Fire and Water: The Deeper Meaning Of What We Unleash

When I was deep into my spiritual awakening, I had startlingly prescient dreams; in one, the words, “violent emergency” reverberated through my mind. It was a violent emergence; birth is fierce. There is an ocean of difference, however, between Nature’s ferocity and that which is deliberately inflicted by human beings with their own agendas.

Theologian and author Thomas Moore writes, “Deep in the etymology of ‘violence’ is a strong Latin word, vis. It is the power in nature that we sense in the surging sea and the growth of grass. In our experiences of violence we witness the vain attempt of life to push itself into existence and visibility. This is a sexual power. Sex is not just about making bodies but making souls as well. The people of the world need every opportunity to be creative and visible. They need to enjoy life, not just survive. Without that opportunity, they will turn to violence, in spite of themselves.”

Life’s Novocaine

We tend to go through life anesthetized against our own yearning. The call to claim our power can be terrifying, because it means accepting our invitation to the Dance — and most of us have forgotten how to dance, if indeed we ever knew. We find it easier to lash out in anger: rage, the undiscovered country. If being “outrageous” means getting the rage out, Americans are black belts. Having lost touch with the wilderness within, we savage the Earth and each other in an effort to combat our loneliness.

War is the grand expression of this misdirected energy. It’s akin to our ability, or lack of it, to harness the power of the sun. Yoked to our solar egg, we could shine on in all our ecological radiance for millennia. Yoking means union, but we’re used to living the more limiting definition of bondage. Trussed to our desperation, we sigh, “That’s life!” Since interdependence — becoming what Kenny Ausubel christened “Bioneers,” or biological pioneers, co-creating with Nature — feels so foreign, we stay (un)comfortably in the familiar, pump up the volume, and wearily watch as the world turns.

There is a way out: it’s through. The trees are gods and goddesses who in their stillness keep the Earth’s counsel; the animals are our allies. We can commune with a snake or a sea lion as easily as with the people we call kin. The key lies in reclaiming our wildness — not as violence, but as an abiding, sensuous connection with Nature. Instead of experiencing everything at one remove, we can allow it to enter us.

My Inannic odyssey delivered me deeply into this truth. In illness and vulnerability, I threw my arms around trees and sobbed out my grief, feeling their loving embrace. I began talking to crows, paying tribute to their visceral wisdom in a poem that concluded, “A coded conversation/In guttural cries/Opens my eyes/And lifts me higher.” Stunned from exhaustion, I’d never lived in such clarity. With my brain on an extended vacation, I was forced to access a more primitive part of my being, to participate organically in the instinctual world, not merely watch.

How Peace Begins

This is how peace begins: by singing the wild symphony of Nature back into our cells, feeling the music of the spheres in our marrow, embodying the feminine creative principle. By raising our resonance, we become “the vessel which can contain all blessing,” as one ancient text describes peace. This is also how we heal our bodies, and the body of Gaia: “immune” means sacrosanct, inviolate, whole. In celebrating all life, we pulse a radiating joy that resurrects our daily dance. And you can’t wage war while dancing.

We’ve entered a new era. It is only in recent memory that strong antiwar sentiment (Iraq, Vietnam) has held sway. For much of human history, war has been an acceptable means of “protecting our interests,” “keeping the world safe for democracy,” or any number of other platitudes. If thousands, perhaps millions, of innocents had to die in the process, well, they were war heroes. And the villagers in other countries, slaughtered in the name of whatever deity one invoked, deserved death because they were “the enemy.”

Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to the US House of Representatives and the only member of Congress to vote against US entry into both World Wars, once declared, “You can no more win a war than you can win an earthquake.”

She makes an enduring point. Did anyone “win” the Indian or Chilean ‘quakes? Are we “winning” the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan?

What’s really going on here? What is the higher purpose of the impulse to violence we all harbor within, to a greater or lesser degree?

Fire and water are complements; harmonized, they elevate consciousness and catalyze healing. I sang these words often during my own dark night of the soul. Instead of the old, tired dominator matrix, using firepower in an “us” vs. “them” scenario, we can embrace the true fire within us, and discover the myriad ways to channel this potent energy for good.

Embracing the True Fire Within

Becoming a spiritual warrior is a profile in courage (which means heart.) Spirit asks, “Have you the conviction to stand by your heart? Are you willing to transmute war in the alchemical fire?” The fire within is the perfect peace of God/Goddess/Creator/Innate Intelligence, which expresses outwardly as enthusiasm (from the Greek, “possessed by God”), inwardly as a calm awareness.

We’ve mastered communicating from our wounds. Now we’re in a pivotal age, creating a context in which it’s safe to share who we are in love, in truth, in well-being. Our collective task is to marry scared and scarred with sacred, density with destiny, jaded with jubilant; to become inclusive not exclusive. Because none of us is truly free until all of us are.

This is one of the meta gifts of these disasters (which means, “against the stars”): they bring us face to face with The Other, in our psyches and out in the world, so we can see how they’re one and the same. All anyone can do is introduce you to yourself. So as you look in the mirror of your brother’s or sister’s face, be kind to your own confusion, criticism, sadness, or fear. Acknowledging your strand in the evolutionary web is, in itself, a giant step on the path to peace.

It’s time for each of us to create a personal crucible: a safe container for our energies. Envision your inner chalice. Then place this cup, brimming with fiery potential and the waters of life, into your heart, where it will become a perpetual font of inspiration and renewal — and, in time, of unconditional love.

Ascension Waves

Raising your vibration

We are without a doubt living in one of the most potent times in the history of this human experience on earth. Everyone is waking up, feeling the shifting, and wondering what their role is in it all. Many of us have come here in this lifetime with the divine purpose of being gatekeepers, wayshowers, teachers and light carriers of the ascension path. These planetary changes are being felt in every dimension of our being and they are undeniable. It is time for the full truth to come forward. Much of what is happening now sounds like it is coming straight out of a science fiction movie. Those who have done the work and who have walked the path have a huge responsibility to anchor the frequency of New Earth. Many of us are being faced with our own personal apocalypse. We are all moving forward into a reality that is far beyond our wildest imagination. There is no more veil between the seen and the Unseen realms. This means everything about the way that we have been existing is impacted.

The good news is that there is nothing that we need to technically do. The changes that are coming are so much more about how we feel. We are moving from being five sensory beings to multi-sensory. We are all becoming more sensitive overall and our ability to sense the subtle energies is becoming more finely tuned. This is an accelerated time in the evolutionary process. We are preparing for a quantum leap. We have the choice to both embrace and celebrate this process and make the necessary changes or resist the process and experience what it feels like to be at odds with Creation. Even as someone highly trained in esoteric teachings, ancient prophecies and spiritual arts it has taken me some time to fully grasp what the process is asking of us and what is needed to be in harmony with the flow. Now I am in the position to teach this process to others who are newly awakened. I understand that we are being asked to trust, have faith, surrender, and let go. Depending on your own personal relationship with the Universe this may prove to be more or less challenging. But there are so many tools and ways to enjoy the potency of this time.

The focus in letting go of all that no longer supports our evolutionary growth is a lesson in learning to raise our vibration. Let’s start with the basics of this concept. Science is now proving what the ancients and mystics have always know which is that we live in a vibrational universe. This Universal Law states that everything in the Universe moves and vibrates, everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything you see around you is vibrating at one frequency or another and so are you. However your frequency is different from other things in the universe, thus it seems like you are separated from what you see around you, people, animals, plants, trees and so on. BUT you are not separated, you are in fact living in an ocean of energy, we all are. We are all connected at the lowest level in the unified field.

Vibrational Alignment

Living in alignment with our highest self is a primary focus in my teaching and it is based on an understanding that our highest good is known by All That Is. Thus there is nothing that needs to be done per se in order to live a life that is the highest reflection of our true nature other than relax, surrender, and be open to receive. When we are a vibrational match with the truth of who we are all that we desire will show up in our experience through the universal law of attraction, like attracts like. We set an intention and the cooperative components all line up through synchronicity as if by magic or miracle. By interfering we often make matters worse, we often block the flow of our own abundance. This type of surrender is based on a communion with God(dess). We each have within us the desire to be greater than what we are.

God(dess) speaks to us through desire. There is a cosmic urge within us that is seeking expression. That expansion is already manifest in the vibrational realm. The part of us that is non-physical already is lined up with all that we wish to become. The way to close the gap is to start to do the work of raising our vibration in order to embody and thus become our higher dimensional selves. Once we have raised our vibration to move beyond the limitations of duality and polarity consciousness we move into a state of bliss and joy where all that we desire flows to us with ease. It is our birthright to become God(dess) consciousness, to become a walking embodiment of the Source within, here and now on this earth plane. It is my intention to guide as many people as possible through the gates of New Earth.

Without question the path of ascension is a path of the heart. As Rumi writes, tomorrow when resurrection comes, the heart that is not in love will fail the test. This type of evolutionary jump has never been made in all of Creation. For that reason there are many ascended masters, higher dimensional beings, starseeds, and ETs races here at this time incarnated in the human form as well as the a strong presence of other non-physical beings. Many of us have spent most of our lives having no idea who we truly are and no concept of anything beyond our 3D existence. We are not aware that what we perceive as reality is merely a hologram, a projected illusion, often referred to as the matrix, and that we co-create this reality. This was part of the agreement, to experience life as a part of the collective experience with full amnesia. Then to be prompted by certain events that would trigger an awakening when the time was right. That time is now. There are those of us who are the first wave of old souls who have memories (mostly in our dreams) of a time on earth when all was peace, joy, and love. Part of our purpose here is to teach these old ways. However there are many twists and surprises related to this specific ascension process that are new for all of us. This ascension is like no other. This will be the first time that we are being guided to ascend with our bodies.

When our planet was originally seeded we were created carefully with divine perfection. We were intended to be the perfect race and to enjoy love and joy ongoing on this planet. However at some point dis-ease was introduced into our environment. This was never supposed to be the case. You might ask how the divine plan can be changed. However once creation happens it has free will. Much of the early religious text that speaks about the fall from grace and other such matters was an attempt to describe these events. Nevertheless our perfect DNA was now compromised. We were allowed to continue on our journey with the understanding that at some point we would be brought back into our original harmonious state of being. This would require an upgrade of our human bodies in order to support the higher levels of consciousness. The process that we are going through now at this time is a rewiring of our DNA, our body is being prepared for multidimensionality. Everything from the way that we eat, sleep, live and absorb energy is being recoded. Cellular memory is being activated. All of the old software and programming that cannot support us is being rewired.

First Wave of Ascension.

A few things to consider. Please be mindful of how your senses are being fed at this time. There are many things coming forth that are intended to distract us and pull us into a weaker state of being. Please take the time to consult with your higher vibrational selves through meditation, dream work, divination or prayer before acting out of fear or confusion. Your soul group is supporting your ascension as are your spirit guides, guardian angels and galactic family. Take all of the energy that you have and focus on staying in alignment with who you are. Spend time right now in nature and in sacred circles with other high vibrational people. Consult with people who are clear channels for information from the higher realms. Learn to become a clear channel for yourself. The most valuable insight will come directly to you in the present moment from your higher self through your intuition and instinct. Let go of trying to figure things out with your logical mind, its scope for these types of matters is severely handicapped. Focus on keeping your energy field purified. Notice that people will begin to fall out of your experience. Do not take it personal. As you raise your vibration those who are not able to anchor these new frequencies will not resonate with you in your physical experience. You may continue to love them on the soul level. Know that we will be reunited eventually in 5D. Expect to be reunited with those in your soul group who planned to meet up with you at this time. A collection of aware and awake individuals holding the same intention with great passion and intensity will shift this reality.

We are all communicating with one another telepathically. This will become more known as more people become tuned into their multisensory and psychic gifts. We are all being asked to walk to talk, to really show up as who we are. There are a lot of checks and balances for the ways in which we indulge or delude ourselves. Some of these are coming through as self-created initiations and ego deaths that serve the purpose of preparing us for become fully realized GOD conscious beings. We are on an accelerated path of evolution. This is a time of coming into our integrity. Be ever mindful of any self-righteousness that might possibly come up. As the old forms dissolve we can experience disillusionment. It may feel as if we are going through crisis. We may have little certainty about who we are, what is real and what to do next. Many of the old ways of doing things don’t feel good or simply do not work. Transformation literally translates to going beyond form. The good news is that there are those of us who are committed to creating new pathways that will lead to a truly awakened and enlightened state, if that is the path you chose. For those who have chosen not to ascend at this time not to worry, you have all of eternity. If you have been experiencing a variety of ascension symptoms make sure to get a lot of rest. Headaches, rashes, allergies, depression, anxiety, sickness, confusion, all of these are normal parts of the process of purging the body of imbalances and upgrading the DNA. Self-care and self-love are at an utmost priority at this time. Doing more is not the answer. The key words are EASE, STILLNESS, FOCUS, APPRECIATION, SURRENDER, BALANCE and HARMONY. Stay connected to what feels good. Focus on unconditionally loving and accepting yourself.

In the next few months as several various consciousness portals are opened and the stars and planets come into various harmonic relationships and other cosmic forces are positioning themselves we are beginning to be flooded by new energies, literally everything will be changing. The first wave of ascension is in September. We will begin to feel the fields of vibrations even more intimately. We will be directed through our own internal guidance system to know what is healthy or “right” for us. We will begin to sense events before they happen and experience many precognitive indicators. You will need to adapt in order to stay tuned in. With heightened sensitivity you will be able to make the adjustments to your own energy in order to create your desired results. We are all adjusting through our bodies in order to become fluid enough to change our own rhythm to create harmony in every situation. This new skill set is vital to prospering in the new paradigm.

I will continue to share with you some of my favorite techniques and tools for heightening awareness, tuning in, staying in alignment, strengthening your electromagnetic field (aura) and raising your vibration. There is a level of mastery of vibration that many of us are reaching for in order that we might be a part of anchoring the crystalline grid that will eventually form to the bridges to 5D. We are at a time when many things will be revealed to us as we need to know them in the present moment. So it is absolutely a time of letting go of the past and grounding ourselves fully in the now. I will speak extensively about forgiveness work because this is truly a lot of what needs to happen to release maternal, paternal and ancestral karma. Yes we are clearing all of these karmic contracts. It is the time to fully stand tall in truth, grace, and reverence and to radiate who we really are. To fully embody love and the I AM Presence. For now I am leaving you with a list of positive affirmation that can used daily to help raise your vibration and align with the higher truth of your infinite self. Namaste beloved light family.

The Beautiful Pain of Awakening

The experience of awakening and the process of evolving and ascending to our true divine selves can be a painful and exhausting experience, especially for those of us who consider ourselves empathic and/or highly sensitive. People who tell you otherwise are either very lucky, or perhaps have not gone through the often brutal, yet necessary changes that can occur. For us, and those like us, realizing the truth about the world is not an easy task.

Empaths, and those who share our traits, are highly sensitive and finely tuned mixing boards. We feel absolutely everything that comes near us, almost absorbing emotion like radio waves. We tend to be very good listeners and because of our giving nature, can become “the one” that those in our lives turn to for guidance and support. We not only take on the experiences of those close to us, we tend to take on the experiences of the collective as well. Like so many traits, this can be both a gift and a curse.

Many who are going through spiritual awakenings right now have spent much of their lives feeling different from others. We go through the motions of life and participate in rituals that are deemed “normal” by society, but deep down we feel that we are not like everyone else. We navigate our lives feeling a deep sense that there is something wrong with the world, that there are so many questions that need to be answered in order for all of this to make sense to us, and we search.. for as long as it takes to find those answers.

Many of us begin our spiritual path by researching, reading everything we can get our hands on, writing, painting, making music, participating in yoga and meditation and other forms of expression and connection. We realize that our minds have been trained to behave erratically since we were old enough to develop an ego. This relationship of ego death and rebuilding is tested time and time again throughout our awakening. This death and rebirth process can lead to feelings of loneliness, depression, lack of purpose and isolation. Often everything that had once brought us joy, now offers us nothing in return. People who we used to share our company with either disappear or they no longer connect with us on a soul level. We may even leave our jobs in pursuit of ways to offer our services to the world, even if it means we don’t have regular income anymore.

We are faced with the harsh reality that in order to become happy, we must face ourselves again and again, continually letting go of the thoughts, emotions, people and circumstances that no longer serve us. We are broken down to the foundation and have to rebuild from the ground up, over and over until our souls are impenetrable. This cycle of shedding and re-growing feels raw and painful and can be both emotionally and physically exhausting.

Sometimes we want to give up, but deep down we know that we chose this path. That we are meant to feel the depths of darkness for all of humanity. That the burden we feel, the physical pain in our shoulders and emotional pain in our spirit from carrying the weight of the world, will lead the way to a new world, a new truth.

So we endure.

We become hermits, healers, seekers, artists, heros and heroines, depending on the day. We survive because we know we were chosen to be strong for the sake of humanity. We are special and know that all our hard work and struggle will contribute to collective awakening in due time.

We are all divine, immortal, infinite, and eternal. We all deserve to follow our heart’s longing, to find everlasting love, and to serve our life mission in peace. Our ancestral past makes this process long and challenging. But as challenging as it may be, the path is always worth it. No matter where we are individually, we must all come together and collectively seek the truth that is greater than us. The door to God/The Universe is always open and we must walk through that door time and time again until we fill up the room with light and love. The light at the end of the tunnel is awaiting your return and only you can walk through and bask in its glory.
